Marshmallow Rum Whipped Cream

I could eat this with a spoon. It’s that good. You don’t need to fix anything to go with it. Just a spoon.

Marshmallow Rum Whipped Cream

It is however, quite delicious with pie, on hot chocolate, or even with cake. You can even leave out the booze for a family-friendly and might I also add ultimate whipped cream.

This idea came to me when I was trying to decide whipped cream or marshmallows? …For my hot chocolate. It’s a tough decision really. I couldn’t decide so I mixed the two and I’m never going back. You can’t make me. To give it a fun adult twist and my hot chocolate an even more warming effect I added Rum. You could add whiskey, cake flavored vodka, or whatever you fancy. Either way you should make this, because it’s divine.

Marshmallow Rum Whipped Cream

MARSHMALLOW RUM WHIPPED CREAM

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, very cold
  • 1 Tablespoon of sugar, or more to taste
  • 1/4 cup marshmallow cream
  • 3 ounces Booze, I chose Rum

Directions

We are going to start by making plain ol’ jane whipped cream.

So add your cold heavy whipping cream,
1-2 Tablespoons of sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)
     I only use 1 Tablespoon – you can also add vanilla or whatever your heart desires.
Now whip, whip, whip to soft peaks – about 4-5 minutes on high.
(whip longer if necessary)

You could stop here, you could… but please don’t deny yourself this pleasure:

Marshmallow Rum Whipped Cream

Add your 1/4 cup marshmallow creme and whip for another 1-2 minutes.

By all means, feel free to stop here. It’s luscious billowy whipped cream. It’s to die for.
The marshmallow creme actually stabilizes the whipped cream too – so it won’t fall flat on you later.
BONUS!

I’m going for the gold here though so time to add the rum:

Marshmallow Rum Whipped Cream

While whipping drizzle in your libation of choice;
whip for an additional 2-3 minutes until incorporated;
and it will now be the consistency of thick cool whip.

Taste it. Die. Go get a spoon. Repeat.
Seriously.

Please don’t make the mistake I did. I made this first thing in the morning.
I had not eaten… it is indeed quite boozy. You don’t have to add 3 ounces,
you really don’t – but you should!

Marshmallow Rum Whipped Cream

Enjoy atop your dish or drink of choice. I served half of it on Nutella Hot Chocolate
and the remainder is going on Cherry Cornbread.
